Comments by "iloveyouamberappel" (@iloveyouamberappel) on "The LGBT Community Is Generationally Fractured. This Organization Thinks It Can Fix That. (HBO)" video.
The conversation at 4:20 says it perfectly. Older generation was mis treated for being gay, sometimes jailed. Being gay for young people now is accepted by most, not all, but most. The young LGBT community wants to hold on to the belief that they are hated and mistreated for being gay and having the generations speak to each other is in direct conflict with that idea.

2:45 Woman said it. I don't remember people ever being jailed. But I can't speak for everywhere.

I agree with you.

Logos de Cosmos Based on what i have read it floats around 50% but is going up as older generations die off. I definitely would take a bet that >51% or "most" would be accepting of gays in my generation and younger.

fat 862 you're right other countries and way less tolerant. I do limit my comments to the USA, maybe include Canada. This is mainly because it seems the left routinely only want to talk about perceived inequality at home. You mention something about gays being thrown off buildings in the Middle East and conversation doesnt seem to get anywhere.

Sc j Wasnt talking about racism or the aceptance of trans. I don't know where you got that from. Here is a report that suggested 63% of Americans are fine with homosexuals in 2o16. I would suggest the number is even higher, based on trends. http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/06/13/5-key-findings-about-lgbt-americans/ "Americans are becoming more accepting in their views of LGBT people and homosexuality in general, and the number of people identifying as LGBT has grown in recent years. For example, 63% of Americans said in 2016 that homosexuality should be accepted ..."
