Comments by "iloveyouamberappel" (@iloveyouamberappel) on "Abortion Is Technically Illegal in Germany — This Is How Women Get Them Anyway" video.
Q: How did the moment feel when you thought, I'm pregnant A: The whole thing caught me off guard. I didn't expect it. There is the problem... It's like people have forgotten that sex could involve pregnancy. It should be on your mind when deciding to have sex, not an after thought.

@reslario More like purposefully ignoring all those bright bold signs, decide to ski out of bounds, and then demand the ski hill pay for your injuries. Using your analogy... Did the hiker take all proper safety precautions including proper footwear, clothing, and accessories? Or did they hike in a clearly marked avalanche warning area while wearing running shoes and a t-shirt? EDIT: I also never said anything about "receiving treatment for your injuries". I talked about performing an action with known consequences and being surprised when they happen. For instance I learned about pregnancy at... 12.

@the_l_generator1779 abstinence is 100% effective. I guess there was that one time... if you believe in that.

@the_l_generator1779 I am suggesting that is the problem and the mindset needs to change. But let's say you are 100% right... I had sex starting in high school but my girlfriend and I were serious about not getting pregnant. Condoms, the pill, and cycle timing all played a role in having the best odds not to get pregnant. There was no " I didn't expect it".

@the_l_generator1779 "The notion that woman really think they can not get pregnant is ridiculous". I agree the woman highlighted in the video is ridiculous. I would have not found it unexpected. Disappointing but not unexpected. That is why abstinence needs to be pushed.

@skatterpro Abstinence is desirable above abortion for many reasons including many women report the procedure to be very traumatizing mix that with cost and other factors. I wouldn't call it hypocrisy at all. I would call it learning and passing on knowledge.

@reslario Yes, personal responsibility is a huge part of it. If you cut off your leg, it shouldn't be illegal to get treatment but IMO it also shouldn't be covered by other tax payers either. The video showed the steps to get legal abortions so...it's not illegal. Just follow the steps, but maybe that personal responsibility is too much as well... Yes my main prescription is abstinence. It is 100% effective and easy to do. It has no limits due to wealth or class.

@ShowMeSomething1 I'm not "shaming woman for having sex". It never specified if the woman was on contraceptive. I would suggest to you that is because she wasn't. Nope married people have options just like everyone else. I got a vasectomy.

@ShowMeSomething1 She did forget or it wouldn't have been unexpected. Actually, I am thinking more rationally and you can using emotion. You are suggesting it's just not possible to be abstinent in 2022. That is emotion. You don't want something to happen, don't do the thing that causes it. If having the baby will likely cause death, I agree have an abortion.
