  1. That's right. 2007 flooding was worse in the region. Jakarta has had flooding probelms for decades. Some of it is linked to garbage being dumped in the lakes,canals and rivers. Other issues are topographical and its proximity to the Java Sea. Ground water extraction is another issue that is seemingly make the north half of the capital sink. It is humans playing a huge part. But it's not "man made global warming"
