Why isn't puerto rico residents doing a better job at helping each other?

@izegrimcreations What did they do before? Buy it from the main land or other suppliers. You say everything points that they are doing as much as they can... What are these pointers? This video seems to suggest that they are trying to improve rather than just rebuild which isn't the first priority.

@hueleb1cho I forgot about it? How do you know that? Are you suggesting that there is absolutely nothing they are do as a community with government assistance? I think that is a cop-out. Bring you neighbours in your home and slowly repair. There is always more you can do.

@BlueJohnXD And the US has provided aid and are expected to provide more. Puerto Rico not having money and resources is there own doing. They have a reasonable export and tourism market. Yet they have been in a depression for 13 years and financial hardship for even more. Saying that they "literally cannot do anything" is ridiculous. The lady highlighted can't be taken in by her neighbour who's home was damaged less or not at all?

@BlueJohnXD Again they have gotten aid and will be receiving more. I have been there on a volunteer vacation and spoken to people since. That is how I know.

@BlueJohnXD I am saying I do know and I don't agree. There is much more capacity to help each other than they are doing.There is a strong sense of family buy not community.
