  1. People need to leave it out of these companies hands and make changes in their own lives.I truly believe that. You can pressure the company to make changes or support companies that use environmentally friendly solutions but change starts at home.

  2.  @Elliotsurvives That is not true and that belief is part of the problem. For example: Government can restrict/ban plastic drinking straws and it would be quite significant considering 500 million straws are used a day in USA. Now consider that if everyday citizens, who purport to care about the environment, just refused to use a straw. The result would be very similar. Then these same citizens don't just not use straws but make mutiple changes. Next you will say these small changes won't do anything or make that much of a difference. 1) any change to limit pollution and climate change should be encouraged 2) Many small changes makes for noticeable change, 50% of people now ride a bike to errands and not drive? Huge. 50% of people use renewable energy in their own home like solar panels, massive. 3) Your opinion and money matters, If these same people only supported companies that support ideals, like green energy, etc. companies will either adapt or die.
