  1. Trapped = prevent (someone) from escaping from a place. No one is preventing them from leaving Mexico. It is a choice. "I prefer to say and work in the meantime instead of letting them send me back to Haiti." They are giving them flights back to Haiti. By definition, they are not trapped.

  2.  @juliancalero8012  No one is preventing them from leaving. "trapped" is the wrong word to use. I understand that they are leaving Haiti but it's a choice/preference and they have a free flight back.

  3.  @juliancalero8012  Correct. "Trapped" is not the best word to use in that situation either. At least in your abuse scenario someone is actually preventing them from leaving. In the instance of the Haitians, it's a situation. It clearly doesn't meet the definition. Cornered is one example of a better word to use.
