@rlmccann It could be... but not. I bet I read more history books per year then you in your entire life (yes, my annual amount of scientific works is ENORMOUS). I used to live in Russia yet in Soviet times and know it's history, mentality, army and other traditions better than you can imagine. ...But it all means nothing in front of International law. Which clearly states: "Crimea is Ukrainian territory". Period. If you don't agree with it, then... we can rethink some other acts as well. I know quite a few groups who will happily bring Ireland back to Britain. Which you were a part of for hundreds of years as well. Are you ready? ;)

@rlmccann Amount of books is not even an argument (be attentive). It's just a fact which should put another coach history expert back to his place. But will never work due to usual Dunning-Kruger effect. You don't even know the definition of "clown"... Thus, any discussion with you is pointless...

@rlmccann I'm deeply involved in these processes, as I directly work with OSCE and UN. The latter, tbh is very unproductive and is mostly money, not peace oriented. But even if it would be a perfect peace keeping organization ever created, it wouldn't be able to change the situation. You can't change the mindset of dictator, can't change political structure or mentality of population (which formed through ages) from outside. As it's against the international low. It's a long process and still very dangerous to appear in the position or mindset of someone who "Knows what is better for others". It's exactly how Nazi in Germany ended with. It's exactly what Russia is doing now. When you decide to kill the dragon, most likely you will take his place and become a new one. The education (information and logical thinking) is the key in long term. That's what Ukrainians are doing during the interviews with Russian combatants.F.E. asking them the logical questions about the reasons for invasion, their participation and their sources. And explaining the difference between someone's personal opinions and official and confirmed facts. And looks ridiculous when the person they are talking with is saying that 2+2 is either 1 or 5. "Because he feels it".
