As an owner of a few businesses and long time player on HR market, I recognize ignorant people straight away. Especially if they write so much about themselves. "Psychological projection" - google it (might help you in future ;) ). It works especially well on mediocre people. That's why when you speak about me being an opportunist - it says a lot about you. Nearly as much as any of your layman's statements about economics. I could beat any of them, both from personal experience and official statistics. But can do it with only one, which shows HOW lame you are in economy! Here: "Our economy is reliant upon the real estate market actually". We check the stats, which tells that it makes (drumroll) ...2% of UK economics! And brings 1.2% in overall taxation. Forget about tourism, science and manufacturing (x3-x5 times grosser each)! As our couch expert knows everything better. :) I probably should tell to my main client, who manufactured and sold his products (overseas only) for over £65mln. last year, that "we do not produce anything of our own to sell to the wider world" :D Time to get back to school, dear! Work on your education (which makes 7% of UK economics). Unless you really like to show your ignorance.

Oh, just one small thing - half of my life I used to live in a country with 3x times worst salary to rent ratio. At the moment I appeared in the UK first time, the salary here for a week was still higher than monthly one in my place. Still I managed to bring enough money for the first deposit. So whose fault is you don't know how to save and work on your income/expenses? System? Definitely not! Whose fault you worked like a dog, and not like a human bean - USING your BRAIN?

Education - 1st to 5th place (different ratings prioritize either accessibility or quality) Press freedom - this one quite low. Only 29 th. Still higher than USA. And VERY far from 3d world countries. Though, Ghana and Salvador are nearby. :) Is this rating connected (correlating) with the quality of living, GDP or Population Happiness Level? Definitely not! F.E. Israel is on 119 place. And life there is way better comparing to Portugal, which right above the UK. Not mentioning Bulgaria, Romania or Serbia (all are not 3d world as well) Any reasonable comments? Apart from layman's personal opinions or "feelings"?
