@Psoglawec Ah, I expected exactly this. Precisely what Putin refers to. So we can know who you represent and how biased you are.
Yes, both these organisations are not so clear, as well as their data (which they have been caught manipulating not once). I don't belong (and don't suppose to) to any financial organisation. Except my own businesses. And even though I have a degree in economics - it simply not needed for opposing your false statement. As not a single economist would refer to that purchasing power parity index. As it shows NOTHING. Even dilettante in economics like you, just with common sense, would realise that you can't call Bangladesh, Nigeria or Egypt a reacher country than Switzerland, Norway or Sweden. But (surprise-surprise!) - the latter are much lower in rating.
Check GDP size charts. Or even better - International trade market share. These indexes will show you what countries REALLY capable of. How much they sell and what they can buy.
Russia's economic atm is less than 1.3% of global market. It is smaller than of little Benelux (with just 30m. population).
But even if it would be bigger (like USSR's) it is more dependable on structure, than just figures. If an entire country (like North Korea) is overfilled with numerous or expensive weapons - it's not a sign of being rich.
So, learn some basics, before coming with ridiculous quotes from crazy little dictator.
