The main barrier to normalization was identified back in 2003 when Israel gave the Palestinians a practice run at their own state when they evacuated Gaza, leaving NO settlements or jews behind to cause internal friction. The Palestinians subsequently set up a set up mini terrorist state devoted to eternal war, as opposed to embracing detente and taking steps towards a final 2 states. BTW, We never seen a blockade with desperate people where they have an armed military army, many thousands of missiles, luxury hotels, at least 20'000 millionaires living in luxury villas and multiples mercedes dealerships.
