  1. These people have taken classical education out of schools, and so have probably never read Pericles' Funeral Oration. They cannot understand why people would (or more to the point would not) fight and die, for their homeland, society, and culture. We need new Elites, or a completely new attitude from our elites, before anything more can be asked of us.
