"The reason no one's made a wargame of the 1600s is it would just be a bunch of sieges" Fun fact: Vauban-style fortresses were subject to "reduction" which would take a predictable amount of time to destroy them based on their array of bastions, etc. So, you could easily make a wargame of this period -- but it would, ironically, be an idle game.
