This is why it's so critical to have free, honest markets and free, honest elections. They must be honest and be SEEN to be honest. Griping about "election deniers" is among the biggest blunders they can possibly make, those elections should be utterly transparent and audited to the extreme.

@julius43461 You don't need any villain to have a victory over - Man vs. Nature is a source of conflict with a very long history. You don't need the victory to be permanent, either. You can just have it last your own lifetime, intact to hand off to your children (who will do with it as they can), which is all that anyone can expect, of nature or of themselves. But you can, in fact, expect this. And you should. =)
