The term "narcissism of small differences" was coined to characterize the differences between Catholics and (most) Protestants. The differences are not "massive", compared to the religious divide that Europe is facing again after beating it back out of Iberia 500 years ago and the Balkans more recently. Liberty itself, in its modern conception as protective of individual inalienable rights, can only exist with a Christian base. It never existed in Islam, Hinduism, Confucianism, Buddhism, or the like, and it vanishes with shocking rapidity under atheism, secularism, or multiculturalism.

  15. If the interview with the woman who runs Surrogacy UK is the same one I'm thinking of, she insists that surrogate mothers "never" regret handing over their child. "What, never?" is the only rational response to such a claim.

  18. I work in Systems Integration for complex systems. The number of babies that would have to die to make this product ready to market, is truly horrifying. Worse, because it's also plausible that they won't be able to make it work reliably, rendering all that death for nothing.

  19.  @B1gLupu  No. My mother and my grandmother found a way to work part-time (putting their college educations to good use) and raising five children between them. This option is still open to everyone, it just isn't pursued because our society is deranged. Women aren't required to stay pregnant as much as possible, because infant mortality is (thank God) a rare experience instead of a common one these days. However, we've gone much too far in the anti-natal direction, as we can see from collapsing birthrates. Baby factories are an abhomination, and absolutely unnecessary. Normalizing part-time work for mothers once their kids are in school -- and/or normalizing home-schooling -- will resolve the social problems we're seeing today, from mental illness and mass-formation psychosis, to cultural suicide.

  21.  @templar5021  No. There are objective evils in this world, and financial transactions that take children away from their mothers is one of them. If you want to have any children, marry a woman. If you don't want to marry a woman, you're not going to get any children. Trying to steal or buy one is evil, and incredibly damaging to the child. You should be ashamed of yourself for even considering doing that.

  22.  @markzuckergecko621  I think it's time we started to ask whether it's even possible to tolerate homosexuality at all, without opening the door to child grooming and mutilation. Considering the evidence we're seeing today, the burden of proof lies on the homosexual "community".
