  2. "Police pledge to attend every home burglary" Oh, THAT'S what that policeman was doing -- he was attending the burglary of that mother's home. I guess when the real burglar didn't show up, he took ti upon himself to burgle her house (stealing her electronic devices) and kidnap her for good measure.

  3. If you print money and hand it to someone, you get HALF the economic benefit you would get by making them work for it. When they work for it, NOT ONLY do they get money, you ALSO get the value of the work that they did for it, added to the economy. So, the benefit is DOUBLE when they work for it. But it gets worse -- the fact that you've printed money with no work to back it up, inflation goes up by the amount of that money. So you probably get no benefit AT ALL to the economy, when you give money away.
