  1. Do you really think Biden picked his VP? Typically, VPs in American politics are picked to shore up a candidate's support in a state or region where the candidate is weak. California is about as deep Blue as you can get. However, there is an East Coast establishment to the Democrats, and a serious Leftwing / Woke donor base in California. Kamala was provided to Biden as a candidate acceptable to the California donors, especially because they thought Biden would have died by now.
