  4. A mismatch between expectations and reality (when reality is not as good as you expected) is a recipe for revolution. Fluffing students' expectations with participation trophies, is probably one cause here.

  6.  @grannyannie6744  The expense adds to the resentment. Universities should return their administrative structures to 1980s levels, or lose eligibility for federal student loans. They should also be responsible for 20% of the principal of the loan, whenever their graduates declare bankruptcy.
