Pretty much. It's how the Byzantines lost Asia Minor.

@bovinicide The proper response is to congratulate her on surviving having mean things said to her on the Internet. Would she like a micromedal for microvalor, for facing microaggressions?

Some guy: "The problem is immigrants can't find work and don't get government services when they come to England" Konstantin: "If there isn't work for them and we can't afford services for them, shouldn't we have less of them?" Some guy: "That would cause all sorts of economic problems like decreasing economic growth" Does immigration actually solve the economic growth problem, if taxes must be raised to relieve overburdened services, and there isn't enough work for them in the first place?

Two reasons: - The British school system does not celebrate British history and accomplishments well enough, so they do not assimilate - There are just too many of them to assimilate effectively. Schools can be no more than about 5% non-assimilated students. Once you've got streetsigns in languages other than English, you know for certain you have too many immigrants.

"Do you feel under attack?" Compared to actually being under attack, simply feeling under attack is mostly irrelevant.

You need to get him out before he evolves from Two-Tier Kier all the way to Kier Stürmer with his farcical courts.

"If there are enclaves of people with difference values, languages, and culture living peaceably, is that a bad thing?" I'll say it -- yes, it is. Bad actors frequently make use of such enclaves to stage their operations. If there are any problems with such malevolent actions, the wisdom of tolerating such enclaves (instead of assimilating or removing them) has to be questioned.

You need to turf out Two-Tier Keir before he becomes Keir Stürmer, which is where he's heading with this rhetoric about cracking down on the English.

"Badly-handled immigration can breed ray schism" It's not ray schism, it's antipathy towards badly-handled immigration. The fact that the perpetrator was not just a recent immigrant, but a badly-assimilated second-generation immigrant, shows that simply allowing such numbers of even second-generations to stay in the country (and to continue to allow the "educational system" to disparage the British and Britishness) will make the problem worse before it gets better. In fact, it raises serious questions whether it's even possible for the situation to get better, absent massive deportations and radical reactionary reforms in the school system.
2
All this does is show that you probably have to depart second-generation immigrants as well, to really solve the problem. It is not beyond Britain's abilities to develop some way to judge levels of assimilation, and maintain their population appropriately.

@GhostSal As long as there is privation, there is work to do, so there will be jobs. We should probably ask, before too long, whether women have any more useful work to do than raising well-educated, mentally healthy children.

They're not really the ones behind this.

"It's not that he's naturally wicked or bad; it's knowing he's foreign that's driving him mad." - Ash Sarkar Or Flanders and Swann. At this point it's hard to tell. 🤡

"Immigrants help cover the shortfall in the National Health Service" Only, they don't have the sense of English honesty that says, "When you're given an employment certification test, you take that test yourself rather than handing it to a family member to do it for you."

"Do you think he [behaved in that dance studio as he did] because of his culture?" His behavior certainly betrayed a certain lack of fellow-feeling with the young girls there, as well as a certain willingness to embrace hostility.

@neilf335 You might want to say, "alleged Conservatives" or just put quotes around "Conservatives". The fact is that on this issue there is a uniparty, elites that are at was with their citizenry.

"Is diversity our strength?" I like other regions' foods as much as the next man, but I can't help but be reminded of the fool in the Bible who traded his inheritance for a tasty meal.

"Why do people who have lived here all their lives have to justify themselves?" I thought that Wokism was all about forcing white people to justify themselves. Just kidding, it's about browbeating white people about not having any justification at all. Any immigrant coming into a society that does not 100% assimilate into that society (continuing to hold onto a different religion, for example) needs to justify whether that difference can be overcome in the attempt to form a peaceful and united culture in Britain.

It's certainly possible to ask whether anything can go too far. That's basic critical thinking.

"There are top-down failures here" The "Top-down" approach IS the failure. It's like people don't remember how central planning lost the Cold War.
1
"Why is it the immigrants who are taking the brunt of this anger, when it is the government that is betraying the will of the people of Britain?" Because once the immigrants realize that the government is lying about how welcome they would be and how willing the existing population is to be hospitable towards them the immigrants do not immediately leave. If immigrants continue to stay once they realize they are not welcome, they are complicit with the government in compounding the problem.
