"Ralston College and University of Austin are the only two colleges fighting back" You didn't mention Hillsdale College, which never got stupid in the first place. There are also small, inexpensive religious colleges that are dedicated to their own faith and a solid education.

"People have to completely understand why they believe what they believe" I don't think that a nihilist who completely understands nihilism is better than someone who merely mimics Christian morals in all their actions without really understanding them.

"There are already people who reject this ideology who could be inspectors to get the system back to sanity" Yes. Most of us are Christian, and that's why you lot have been keeping us out, which has let this new lot in.

Peter, - Do you think it's possible for people to talk themselves out of a good idea? - Do you think it's possible for two people who are talking with one another, to lack the necessary relevant knowledge between them to come up with the right decision? - Do you think it's impossible for one person with more information (some of which may be wrong) could find themselves talking with someone with less information, but who happens to be correct?

- Can a willingness to change one's mind be taken to any extremes? - Is a disposition towards novelty, helpful? - Should any benefit of the doubt be given to any ideas heavily associated with a successful culture, even if the mechanism of action is not specifically known? - Once a mechanism of action has been established, should ideas heavily associated with a successful culture be re-embraced, even if novel rhetoric can be marshalled against them?

"We live in an uniquely stupid time" And we have militant atheists to thank for it. The universal solvent of universal skepticism has not served us well.

.... And the algorithm is, once again, taking "likes" off of comments for reasons of its own.

"Our generation" "You're twenty years older than we are, mate" GenX has never really stood up and properly levered the Boomers out of power. Either we still consider ourselves "young", or maybe all we learned from the Boomers was how not to grow up.

"The best people the system can produce are Donald Trump and Joe Biden" No. The best canddiates the system can produce are Donald Trump and Joe Biden. There are good people, doing good work, who aren't candidates for a variety of reasons. Reasons like, they are doing better work where they are (say, Elon Musk) than they would be campaigning to be President.

"We cannot make better decisions without a forthright conversation about them" Except, those who are making the decisions disagree with the concept that bringing the public in on those discussions would lead to better decisions. This is the ideological basis for the new Cold War -- In addition to economic freedom against central planners, American must champion all varieties of freedom against the Authoritarian Bureaucrats who would exercise their totalitarian tendencies against us.

"I can't think of anything that would convince me that a 14-year-old victim should have to bear that child" - Even the fact that that child is just as much of her, as any child she would have under any other circumstances? - Or, that that child is certainly an innocent party in this situation? - Or, that a few months of minor inconvenience and a few weeks of serious inconvenience, weigh less morally than an entire lifetime?

@jayjaydubful No, it's about right. I've got three kids myself. Do you have any?
