  2.  @dohlecarnett1866  Yeah, developing enough expertise to understand what you're writing about is very useful. One pitfall here though -- if you take sides in the debates within a field, or if you assume that what you already know is still true rather than paying attention to what is truly new, you can still get a story wrong.
