  1. By the end of the 30YW, nationalism was much more of a motivation than religion. This is basically the turning point of that, in European history. And yes, this war was more about the Hapsburgs (who owned Austria, Spain, and the riches of the Americas) trying to capture all the marbles, than about religion.
