"Stalin did have an extraordinary impact on people's lives" He ended tens of millions of them.

"Don't put this stuff into kid's heads, you'll confuse them" That's the point. They're coming for your children, singing merrily as they do.

"Regulations, which have never been voted on, which have the force of law..." ... for which you cannot have a trial by jury, don't forget.
26
"I could make a million starvation-wage jobs." No you couldn't. You don't have a company with the revenue to do that. Typical communist. "My imagination is reality!"

@TL-rh1lf I think it might have been a country that was attacked without warning, by a country that committed atrocities against countries it invaded, and whose population was trained to (and in many cases did) fight without any idea of surrender.... Which country was it that opportunistically declared war hoping for spoils, once the fighting was done?

@mikearchibald744 They want our obedience, our worship, and access to our children. If you haven't seen this, you haven't been paying attention.

"Why were you originally against Donald Trump?" "[Lists a bunch of questionable things that didn't happen until years after he first opposed Trump]"

@Dreadwolf3155 NeoCons are with the Dems now. Dick Cheney endorsed Kamala. I'm as shocked as you are.

So as far as those surveys go, did any ask the question: "Are you likely to lie to a survey-taker about your opinion if it professional or legal action could be taken against you for holding that opinion?"

@L One of the most fascinating archives was the one from the old KGB, presented by an archivist named Mitrokhin. "The Sword and the Shield" is one of his major works - it came out in 2000, featuring information from decades past. It has some extremely interesting reports in it, like the fact that J Edgar Hoover's alleged transvestism was a complete fiction spread by people on the KGB payroll. A literal "communist plot", if you will. There's still actionable intelligence in there -- arrests were made decades after the fact, based on information that Mitrokhin shared. One remarkable thing about the book is how many sexual perverts in America and England were used as KGB spies. This wasn't out of a threat of exposure as you might expect, these people were quite open about their degeneracy. I don't know whether the Russians were attempting to weaken America, or simply because communism is more appealing to this sort of person, but it's too common to be a coincidence.

@alpacamegapint Should we accept theft or perjury? Not sure how tolerance is divisive.
4
@mikearchibald744 Keep your eyes open, and you'll see what happens to people who try to opposes their agenda. They try to memory-hole their opponents though, so you really have to pay close attention. Look what happened to Matt Walsh, for one.

Many people don't know evil when they see it. Newsom and Garcetti do not see the evil in themselves. We must treat them as irrelevant, to prevent that evil from having its effect on the world.
4
You know what would solve this problem? If these guys want to be "outlaws", make them outlaws. Remove the protections of the law from them, so that if fathers, husbands, brothers, or anyone else does anything to discourage them from abusing women, the law will not take action against those family members.

@Ryanlexz A lot of YouTube is built on 5 minute video. They should have gotten people who are already famous for 5 minute videos, to make their 5 minute videos.
3
@imperator692 I'm curious, would you condemn both Clinton / Vietnam / etc, and also Stalin, or are you condemning Clinton / Vietnam / etc but NOT Stalin?
3
"The media doesn't like Vivek's gumption" That ain't just gumption there, that's moxie that Vivek's got.
3
Not to mention the fact that love and sex are absolutely not synonymous.
3
@roostercogburn7243 Lol, that was never true.
3
Bezos has destroyed at least as many jobs as he has created. Probably more. Sorry Patrick, but it's true. Amazon hasn't expanded the economy, it has contracted it.
3
"Blob vomit" has to the be the best term for Deep State propaganda I've ever heard.
3
The people insisting on it have gotten so much more aggravating than the conservative Christians opposing it, that there's a backlash. Oh, and we've slid so much farther down the slippery slope, that people want to just reset things to 1990s "don't ask don't tell" again. How far will it go? I think in all likelihood the traditional definition of marriage will be legally reinstated, and every one of these "identities" will probably end up, at least provisionally, back on the DSM listing so that they can get therapeutic help if they want it.
2
Let's be clear. This is NOT a "Democrat" issue. They're covering for this.
2
According to St. Paul, even dressing up like the opposite s*x is wrong. So, it IS addressed in the Bible.
2
A whole lot of that territory down near the border, is military bases already. Operations in that region really aren't that hard, or that expensive.
2
@petarmajstor2370 Nah, "American Propaganda" at the time was Walter Duranty's fraudulent reporting. About twenty years ago the Pulitzer committee finally revoked his prize for that particular bit of useful idiocy.
2
@John Bob Um, this data doesn't push you towards any particular moral conclusion, about Stalin, his impact on his country, his impact on history, and the ideology he espoused?
2
"Does it matter to you if there's a g*y teacher at your school?" Like some of the (male) 4th-6th grade teachers in the gifted-and-talented program at my hometown when I was a kid, who would spontaneously give backrubs to their favorite (male) students? Yeah, more people should be not OK with this.
2
Yup. The Target / Bud Lite boycotts have companies scared. The "influential" media franchises (Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, etc) got Woke, and went Broke. They had their turn, we saw how badly it went, and now their turn's over. The fashion is done. The Spirit of the Age is moving on.
2
"These capitalists wanted markets for their goods - imperialism rises inexorably from capitalism" Kind of like China needs the American market for its exports today? Where exactly did this arise from?
2
It wasn't "impossible" to stop the West African and East African slave trade. It just took a lot of determination, which only comes from the clarity you can get from serving God.
2
"If there were a massive propaganda effort from China to undermine the United States, would we ban it?" There is, and we should. Swalwell, Feinstein, professors at Harvard and countless other universities -- you are deliberately ignorant.
2
@RogerioCampanhol I think more effort should be made to help them -- the first mistake was in the early 70's, when it was taken off of the DSM. That was the first step of this slippery slope we find ourselves on. Nowadays? If a therapist doesn't think that a kid chopping parts off of themselves is medically necessary, they'll lose their licenses if they say so.
2
"Lenin was a great listener" I suppose he liked long walks on the beach too?

If you guys follow Peter Zeihan at all, a little while back he said "We're short on workers, we need about 50 million more in then next ten years, and that's going to cause some unrest." Elsewhere he has said, "One of the only important numbers in determining a country's power, is its total population." I consider Zeihan to be a window into the inner circle of highly influential strategic consultants that the Deep State uses to help make decisions. I don't believe that they're evil, exactly, but they certainly don't consider difficult-to-quantify values like culture or family at all in their calculations.

There are two Peters: - Data Peter, which is actually pretty good. Give him a reliable dataset to deep dive, and he's well worth listening to. - "Blob Vomit" Peter, who is only interesting insofar as he communicates what the Deep State wants you to think. Apparently Benz believes you can get this information from elsewhere ("Journal of Democracy", etc.) Peter seems to have a past history of connections (both professional and informal) with some fairly high-up folks. I can't speak for how fresh these connections are. As long as you keep it straight in your head which Peter you are listening to, he's a reasonably entertaining source of information.
1
@DivinesLegacy "Blob vomit" is a good term for this kind of Deep State propaganda. He's a perfect conduit for it, too -- even though he's smart enough to see that our fertility rates are a disaster, his personal predilections are such that he won't advocate for policies to reverse The Blob's anti-natalist policies.

Fantastic stuff!

Who else is here after the Hunter Biden laptop stuff broke?

CalPERS invented Woke investing in the first place. Of COURSE they'll try to use their economic clout to try to control or weaken Elon.

The Germans were Socialists in the 1930s - national socialists. There is little difference between Germany in the 1930s and Russia in the 1930s. There is even less difference between Germany in the 1930s and China in the 2020s.
1
"The less Trump does, the better it is right now" Of course. If the debate hadn't gone well for him, he'd have announced his VP pick to get it into the news cycle. As it is, he would happily keep his mouth shut while this plays out.

The manifestation of the idea that the "Dominant Ideology" only benefits the ruling class, is never so apparent than in countries that espouse Marxist ideology. "The Party" benefits, and everyone else suffers. It's also true to some degree in places where the Dominant Ideology spreads sovereignty (through liberty) to as many people as possible. Benefits are spread as widely as possible.

This guy that says "it's the woman's choice" and it doesn't matter if the guy is being deceptive, is an absolute piece of s**t. He needs to go to one of these "angriest countries in the world", and get treated to the consequences of his opinions.

So is China interfering in the 2020 election, which looks to be at least partially fraudulent?
1
@robinfaulkner9945 What kind of standards are there for ICU admission? Are they consistent across the study period? If you want the numbers to dance to your tune, there are ways to make that happen.

@iandougan3758 Try 0.3%

Here's the biggest surprise in store for people who hate American corporate jobs, who think they would prefer communism... you know office politics? Your entire LIFE is determined by office politics, under a communist system. Kissing up to the party bosses, never getting the work assignment you want, dealing with the faceless corporate bureaucracy to get your work (and living) supplies, horrible co-workers you can't get away from -- all of it. Now imagine... you can't ever quit. And when they fire you, they do it with bullets. "The Office", "Dilbert", and every dystopian office story -- THAT is what your day-to-day life is like. And that's at BEST.

Just curious, is anyone going to see Jim Caviezel's "Sound of Freedom", the (true) story a man who rescues children from trafficking? It should be in theaters now.
1
I think that "Blob vomit" is one of the better descriptions of Deep State propaganda, too. =)
