  1. One way I found to look at Fermat's Last Theorem, was to see it as a delta not as a sum. In other words, it's obvious that the difference between any two consecutive squares, is the set of all odd numbers. Some odd numbers are also squares. So far so good. If you could look at the entire set of all the differences between any two cubes, and demonstrate that for some reason that no cubes could be included in that set, you might then generalize that to any whole-number exponent.
