Lex: "I thought that John Stewart destroyed you in that clip" Also Lex: "I'm a sucker for rhetoric" John Stewart was using rhetoric that a) he did not believe, and b) that (sorry Lex) was not true. Shows like Crossfire where people disagreed with one another, sometimes vehemently, but put them together in articulate argument, were not in fact bad for the country. John Stewart was not in fact a centrist who wanted people to get along, he was (and is) a partisan hack who is happy to have Conservative ideas banished from public conversation, and that was why he took the position he did on Crossfire. Lex, you know you're a sucker here -- be more vigilant.
