As Tolstoy might have observed -- When it has been so effective, that its current motivation finally gives way to pity; when the rainbow flag strikes its ragged colors for the final time; when the movement that marched under its banner (and the captive vassals that swelled its train) rather than resembling the invincible Grand Armee of the summer of 1812, resembles the Grand Armee of the following winter. When "self-censorship" means people with atypical attractions shudder at the thought of accepting a job that might put them in contact with children -- that's when it this will be over.
