  2. Why didn't Japan take over the world, back in the 80's? Why would we expect China to do so, without running into any problems - like "getting old before it gets rich"? Did Covid really kill so many Chinese pensioners?

  3. America has various legal structures -- International Trafficking in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations, to name two -- which could be adapted for use in Great Britain, where the possible sharing of technologies with potentially hostile powers like China is concerned.
