  1. The use of the word "Liberal" as a pejorative was spearheaded by Rush Limbaugh back in the 1990s. It's probably up to his heirs (like Ben Shapiro) to rehabilitate it.

  2. Ideologies are "ideas that can never be wrong", and you like to challenge them with a set of facts. Okay. How would you then approach principles or values? You can use principles when not all facts are known, and you can value some facts such that despite the existence of one set of facts, there is another set of facts can support a principle (or even an ideology) so that your challenging facts do not in the end win out.
