Who would win a US civil war? China. The solution is federalism -- devolve federal power to the states, so that people who care deeply about whatever issue can find a state they like.

You don't really have to have anything in common with them, they're an infinitesimally small percentage of the population. All you have to do is get your like-minded brethren together who think that the Berkeley grad is insane (a large majority) and make sure that Berkeley grad never gets political power.

If California secedes, I am looking forward to our conquering the place -- it has significant oil reserves, large rare earth deposits, excellent Pacific ports, enormously productive farmland, and most of all, a regime in dire need of changing. =)

@yukihirasouma4691 It was a proposal by John Podesta. He probably wanted a place he could run to once the investigations start.

@yukihirasouma4691 I think it may have something to do with overstimulation in the prefrontal cortex, which is (as far as I understand it) the part of your brain tasked to shoot down really bad ideas. It gets waaaaay too much exercise with the spew of bad ideas that make up some or most of what you see in the media or especially on Twitter.
