  1. Like Bach. Yes. I'm a bit of a classical buff still, and my favorite is still the fleeting moments about three-quarters of the way through Bach's Little Fugue in g minor. After the mournful, tumbling, sometimes chaotic thoughts, in amongst the cascades above and the sweeping intervals below, the middle just starts to *soar*, handing an arc of notes back and forth between two middle voices. It doesn't actually last long, and the tumbling thoughts come back, but something seems to have resolved itself in the piece so that it can wrap up happily and almost peacefully, in spite of it all.
