  1. Jordan Peterson and Bishop Barron -- making Christianity and Biblical Studies intellectually legitimate for our generation. These are the "alternative influencers" that will ultimately lead the charge that takes the Left down, or at least takes it down a few notches.

  2. Why would the Church commit itself to any scientific paradigm? It was a commitment to Aristotle, and his conclusion that based on the evidence he could see (i.e., no naked-eye stellar parallax) the Earth was stationary, that got Galileo into such trouble.

"Subjective, objective, and a mixture of both" I think there really are aspects of the objective world outside of ourselves, that have a common (subjectively felt) effect on humans because of our biology -- "Prick us, do we not bleed" and all. The discovery of these places where objectivity and subjectivity meet, is definitely a useful intellectual pursuit.
