  1. One confounding factor with food elimination diets, is that you're not just starving yourself, you're starving your entire gut biome. It may be that you with the help of certain key intestinal flora and fauna, you could tolerate (or even thrive on) particular types of food, that you couldn't digest at all in the absence of these helpers.
