"Single mothers, you're inadequate" We need to de-stigmatize this phrase. It needs to be part of our cultural wisdom. We need to have stories where single mothers are the villain, and jokes where they're the punch line. But we also need to have a redemption arc for them, involving a man helping them out in return for their kindness.

@haghendowdy4750 It was (and is) common culture to stigmatize single motherhood in most of the world. America is failing its children, and praising single motherhood is one critical way it is doing so.

@wyleecoyotee4252 Nah, people are used to patriarchy. It's been stable for thousands of years. Have there been instances of women amassing quite a lot of power in these situations? Yes, you can point to episodes of this in the Ottoman and Roman empires. They were basically disasters, and were quietly discontinued after a few years. How we doin' nowadays? Sick of it yet?
