  1. "Why did the political fall into impulsive hedonism?" Because people ask, "Would you rather be right, or happy?" as if it were a rhetorical question... or even a valid framing.

"Symbols, which are arbitrary, and practically related concepts" You can do something with AI called "unsupervised learning", where you don't tell the AI what categories or relations it's supposed to look for -- you just allow it to discover categories of related clusters of nodes (concepts, sensory input data) all on its own. The fact that this is even possible disproves the post-structuralists. Absolute structuralists aren't entirely right, but they're more right than the absolute post-structuralists.

  3. "What do you mean by is God real?" Do you think God has an existence independent of your thoughts about Him? Did He exist before you did (creating all things) and will He exist after you are no more? I'm guessing you'd say, "I'm not entirely sure", but I could be wrong.
