Why? Fry didn't actually participate.

@andrewcross5918 He brought it up for a couple of sentences near the end, only to point out that no one (including him) had brought it up before. It was a very Roger Rabbit moment; "Why didn't you do that before?" "Because then it wouldn't have been *funny*!" Where was he when the opposition was flinging ad hominem attacks against Peterson? Nowhere to be found.

@chatshitgetbanged.9417 Yes. And Fry said nothing, while this was going on.

@andrewcross5918 Why stop them? Because then they could get back on topic, the lack of which he deplored in his closing remarks. He didn't really do anything constructive. Here in this discussion, he's just following along with points that most of us noticed years ago, now that it's looking like the tide is turning against Political Correctness. His silence on the BBC scandals and his yammering on the Catholic scandals betrays an enormous lack of integrity on his part.

@andrewcross5918 There is no position so wise, that you can't find a fool who supports it. It's nihilistic, just to sit back and let other things destroy themselves -- and Peterson's opponents in the Munk debate hardly destroyed themselves, they're still around, so even that goal was unmet. I can well believe that watching the destruction around him is the best Fry can do. His existence may indeed precede his essence in a most empirical way, but his existence is a completely sterile one. Peterson has always tried to call forth more, from people. That's greatly to be admired.

@andrewcross5918 "Wall of text"? Lol, get off of Twitter, it's reduced your attention span to the vanishing point.

You didn't see "The Hobbit", did you.

After his performance in The Hobbit, Stephen Fry should not be allowed anywhere near Myth. The Master of Laketown was supposed to be as smooth as Jeeves, only evil. Also, his association with the institution of the BBC, considering its criminal sexual misconduct against fans (trading sexual favors for backstage access), disqualifies him from criticizing institutions like the Catholic Church. He is a major contributor to the rot at the center of British culture today.

The one with Bishop Barron was a better conversation, with vastly more intellectual heft.
