  1. "What would reparations look like?" Well, we could start by allowing people who are actually enslaved today, to sue the human traffickers that are trading them an exploiting them. Start with the clear-cut cases, and explore more complex situations from there.

  2. Weren't a lot of Michelangelo's efforts funded using indulgence-money collected in Germany? (I guess Europe, including Rome, paid for all that over the next hundred fifty years or so.) Am I glad the Sistine Chapel exists? Where should we stand on Luther's Thesis #50, "Christians are to be taught that if the pope knew the exactions of the indulgence preachers, he would rather that the basilica of St. Peter were burned to ashes than built up with the skin, flesh, and bones of his sheep"?
