"Our idea of whether a story is inherently good or bad, depends on the coherence of the values of the story" Unfortunately for us, we also value novelty in our stories -- the old stories are "boring" or "old-fashioned", mapped territory, been-there-done-that. One reason Wokism is failing now, is that it's got the been-there-done-that feel of a fashion on its way out, without having any enduring intellectual value whatsoever.

"Christianity and capitalism aren't mutually exclusive" Christianity (particularly the Protestant kind) encourages useful service and abstemiousness, which leads to piling up surpluses, which leads to capital growth.

"You can trace the statistical relationship of a word with a concept" So we can tell when the dictionary-poisoners started their work, and map out where they are injecting the poison into the system. We will soon be able to figure out who is responsible, which is one giant leap towards putting a stop to them. =D

"You can type in a dream and get an interpretation of that dream. And you can say that's arbitrary, but it's not" You might be able to make the case that it's too complete though. Unless you're going full-on Jungian overmind, any dream interpretation would have to be tailored to the "training data" that an individual dreamer would have encountered. Someone would not likely dream of Star Trek if they had never seen Star Trek. The staggering reality is that in this new digital age, we might be able to reliably track what "training data" people have been exposed to, if we have records of what they have watched and heard from birth. If we could ever track common threads that show up independent of traceable media exposure, that might give us some idea of where true instinctive Jungian archetypes are.

"It's going to take a LOT of pebbles to build that wall" Enable the pebbles to build themselves. =)

"The economics of the State have broken down social relationships between grandparents and grandchildren, which has interrupted cultural transmission" Well, that, and our ultra-regimented school system. Only a lunatic could believe that stuffing hundreds of 13-year-olds into a relatively small area with relatively little adult supervision, would result in the most mature and well-educated 13-year-olds.

"Sam Harris believes that our interpretation of the Biblical stories is arbitrary" The Catholic Church agrees with him on that one -- they believe you need to be guided by Church tradition, to arrive at the correct interpretation. Protestants, obviously, disagree. HOWEVER, you'll notice that while Protestant churches differ, they differ within a certain range. You can't interpret the Bible and get an anime club, or set of rules for football, or a scuba-diving manual -- which you could, if the words were entirely "arbitrary". A single-use randomized code cipher they are not.

"When I was a kid, things were taken for granted, like 'it's good to have a father in the home'" Well, we're caring about the feelings of single moms now, so we have to make excuses for how things are instead of devoting ourselves to how things ought to be. Welcome to the Matriarchy. Sick of it yet?

Game-theoretically speaking, "tit for tat" is not the optimal strategy. As history / literature like "The Saga of Burned Njall" indicates, this can devolve into deadly feuds. The Christian strategy is "generous tit for tat", where you not only get the advantages of disincentivizing bad behavior (sins), you also extinguish feuds before they bring the system down completely. Some game theorists claim that "Pavlovian" strategy works better ("win-stay, lose-shift", or "stick to whatever works until it doesn't") but this can lead to dystopian results.

"When we think in terms of legacy, how many people do you actually remember from history?" I'm convinced that YouTube is the new Chautauqua, and Jordan Peterson is the new Elbert Hubbard. =) Peterson is helping a lot of people. His legacy will not be remembered consciously.

"The punishment structure on the Left for speaking to someone on the Right is unprecedented" Welcome to Toxic Femininity. "We're all not talking to Emma today, she was bad." We are living in a Matriarchy.

"Social media penalizes the small-scale" Hey Ben -- you might have some fun being interviewed by Paul VanderKlay.

The intro one of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos -- I forget which one.
