  1. "This was a mob" Crowds of people have a "spirit" -- it's clear if you go to a closely-fought sports game, or an inspiring performance. If it's a riot, it's an evil spirit. I think that the mob outside of Jesus' trial, was literally possessed by an evil spirit.
