  3.  @roy-whereamI  But they totally had a Framework Everyone Agreed On, which means nothing could possibly have gone wrong. I mean, when a bunch of really smart people get together, everything they come up with is sheer brilliance, you know? And why do they put up with all these committees anyway, if someone still has to take responsibility for a monumental screwup? Seriously, it's almost as if they want the Framework Everyone Agreed On to get changed around so there would be limits on them doing exactly what they want to do! Who do these taxpayers think they are, anyhow? Didn't they know that The Science gives The Scientists the sacred right to be paid six-figure salaries and ignore every petty concern about "causing a global pandemic"?
