  1. Protests don't appear in a vacuum. They required an economic shutdown that shoved tens of millions of people out of work, destroying their hopes and dreams, and denying them daily constructive purpose that allows them to support themselves and their families with dignity. The idea that an evil that claimed the lives of 10 people last year is a larger cause than an evil that has thrown tens of millions into existential turmoil, is propaganda spread by actors who expect their political power to be enhanced by that narrative, the actual problems of the country or any of the people in in be d*mned, and the useful idiots who get swept up in the story-of-the-week without looking out at what is happening in the world and thinking it through. Blue, I don't know if you really are better than this, but you should be. We deserve better, from someone attempting to educate the public about history.
