"Our math about climate change is new, we're making it up as we go" Yep. And it's wrong. We're trying to use computer models for a system so complex, models that require so many numbers pulled out of various diverticula, that it's impossible to get any reliable answer out of them. I've worked on these computer models for years. They cannot be used as scientific experiments. If it is possible to use a model like that to prove that changing CO2 levels is responsible for global warming, then my team proved that General Relativity is wrong. (Hint: We didn't.) "But they MIGHT be correct, we must be cautious!" some will say. Well, you MIGHT be correct if you used the pattern cracks in chicken bones you threw into your fireplace to determine how the climate is changing... but you would be wrong to do so.

"When climate change makes arid places more arid..." ... Rising CO2 levels will allow plants (including grasses like wheat) to reduce the amount of time they must keep their stomata open to intake CO2, which reduces the amount of H2O that escapes, allowing them to be hardier in arid places. What with one thing and another, rising CO2 levels have actually been GOOD for the growth of plants around the world -- especially in arid regions.

"No matter how climate change works out, there are going to be hundreds of millions of Chinese starving" The ones that haven't been born in the first place?
