  1. What would be most useful is for our government to stop lying to us outright. The voters are sovereign after all, we get to make these decisions, without being manipulated. Silence is often good and necessary, but the outright lies we've seen over the last number of years has cratered public trust in vital institutions. As for the kid -- there's grunt work to be done in every organization, for every type of tasking, and it's the young'uns that do it. Perhaps this could change, but I doubt it. Besides, as people age and develop more connections, it becomes more difficult to track them all. Also the younger people get into the system, the more they know what kind of situations to avoid because they would disqualify you from that kind of work.
