"Yes, yes, yes, you can make the argument about the Native Americans..." ... who were largely falling apart already due to diseases to which they had no resistance (90% of their population died of this), and infighting due to the resulting chaos (took out 90% of those remaining). The "conquest" of the Americas, especially North America, was conquest on easy mode.
