  1. "Is Thorium better for nuclear power plants because it's less usable for weapons?" The way we abandoned nuclear energy after the Cold War has always made me wonder whether it was ever all it was cracked up to be, and we just had it to make the weapons in the first place. I know from my physics classes that that probably isn't the case, but the fact that we've abandoned it like that is just so d**ned weird I can't help but wonder if there's something else going on. Conventional wisdom does not explain the situation. Something is missing.
