  1. "Were the British sailors who eliminated slavery on the high seas racist too?" I don't know, you'd have to present some evidence of whether they thought that white people (especially the British) were superior to other people on the planet. The fact that they fought to end the horrors of slavery worldwide is evidence that they were actively virtuous, but it's not exactly the same virtue. Humans are complicated beasts.

  2. Believing that white people bear some kind of unique responsibility for slavery, is white supremacy. Does any reasonable person really think that other cultures just couldn't help themselves, and therefore can't be held responsible?
