  1. None of this is a waste of time, Peter. You're just in the unfortunate position of being one of those from whom the results of your efforts is hidden. Think of the Marines stationed on Midway island, flinging the best they had against the Kido Butai. Think of the Devastators, coming in low against the fleet and being cut to ribbons. Think of the Nautilus, facing off against the entire fleet and forced to flee, with the Arashi in pursuit. Then think of how each of these made that final victory possible.
