The world changed dramatically in the last week. At this point the best path forward for free people, is going to be very clearly preparing for war with China. Our choices are stark: re-establishing deterrence; war; or being enslaved.

Or worse, Australia could be overrun by a foreign power that is willing to commit genocide in conquered regions. Talk to people who remember how they felt as the Japanese started to take over PNG, and find your courage.

@grisza77 No, my country isn't enslaving anyone. A couple of city mayors are trying to impose insane restrictions on people, and people are moving out of those cities. =) Believe me, we're making it rough on politicians who are oppressing others -- we're voting them out of office. You should try it. It's a very good system. And to think there are some countries where the only way to get their oppressive governments out of office is violent and bloody revolution -- that's tragic. They should try democracy, it's the best way to avoid that kind of chaos.

Never heard of the ANZACs, have you.

"Why should we fight for a people who aren't willing to fight for themselves?" - Joe Biden Who will be president of the United States for a while yet. Probably.

@grisza77 There you go, changing the definition of words again to suit you.

@grisza77 I don't know about you, but I went about my day pretty much normally (2018 normal, not 2020 normal). =)

@grisza77 I happen to like the country I live in. =) As for cities on lockdown, there are a couple that are going kind of crazy, but they're weird and the rest of us are ignoring them. =) Even in China, people tend to ignore a lot of what they're told, and just lie that they're actually doing it. (There's no underlying Christian moral code, to discourage this.) This is unfortunate for a couple of reasons -- one, it means a lot of time is wasted double-checking information, and two, a lot of poor decisions are made when this misinformation isn't caught. I don't believe any "information" coming out of China. Do you? You're not very bright if you do.

@grisza77 Out of curiosity, what would you say if I asked you where you were from?
