  2. "There is no reason men have any advantages over women, in being a journalist" Depends on the beat. Sometimes a journalist has to go dangerous places and meet dangerous people to get a story, and if that journalist has more self-defense assets (such as physical strength and an intimidating stature) men more often have those assets than women do. That said, physical strength and intimidating stature are a DISadvantage in other situations -- so the best world is one in which men and women embrace their differences, and work together.
