  2. In England, is the lockdown leading people to flee the cities and telecommute from the countryside -- maybe the towns they grew up in? That's happening in America, a lot now. Tech companies are cutting down on their commercial real estate costs, as they decide that employees don't need office space anymore.

  3. Re: the popularity of "The Sound of Music" soundtrack... It's ironic that for all Marxists claim to emphasize "the people" in history, over a procession of kings and queens, they ignore that. On the other hand, they might ignore it for political reasons -- the soundtrack does include a dapper young national socialist singing to his best girl about the appeal of the party's social conservatism. (They probably miss the subtle irony of someone with only a marginal claim to additional wisdom, arranging someone else's life, because they think that's the natural order of things.)
