  1. The Cold War was a dialectic between Capitalism and Communism. Who won? The Market-economy Welfare State. The new Cold War I see brewing is a dialectic between the Authoritarian Bureaucracy and the Liberal Democracy. I'm curious what will result.

  2.  @avaparker9603  People are against the lockdowns because they're destructive and largely futile. You can either face the epidemic like Sweden has, and bring everyone's immune systems to bear in defeating it, or you can cower-in-place until we find the cure for the Common Cold (yes, coronaviruses are among the causes for that affliction) that will probably be as effective as Windows Vista. No, thank you. The defeat of authoritarianism is worth the price -- which is in fact lower than in previous generations.

  3. Are small businessmen having as much trouble with their businesses closing down in the UK, as they are in the US? These are competent people who know how to get things done. I recommend you try to recruit as many as you can, to run for office. =)
