  2. "We should have faith in these people [medical scientists] because we are an Enlightened people." This is exactly backwards. BECAUSE both we and medical scientists are Enlightenment people we shouldn't HAVE to rely on faith ("the conviction of things unseen"). We can be presented with the EVIDENCE and the reasoning they used to come to their conclusions.

  3. Us: "Are you sure about these results and path forward?" What we SHOULD get from the scientists: "Well, here's our evidence and reasoning." What we ARE getting from the scientists: "Shut up, listen, and obey." We deserve much better. We also deserve, "Here are a few alternatives that have been proposed, and here's our evidence and reasoning for recommending the path forward we're recommending." If our elites want to be taken seriously as scientists and advisors to a free people, this sort of respect for both their methods and their audience is essential.
